INSTALLATION:

Proper installation is crucial to ensure a tight permanent hold and long term value for your truck. Please follow the following steps closely to ensure your Tailgate Cap installs properly and looks great for years to come!

1. Thoroughly wash your truck's tailgate rail area with soap and water. Make sure your tailgate rail area is completely clean.


2. Rinse and wipe down with a dry cloth. Let dry.


3. Thoroughly clean your truck's tailgate rail surface with the enclosed alcohol wipes. This will ensure the alignment strips adhere properly.


4. Carefully test fit the METAL MONSTER USA Tailgate Cap BEFORE removing any of the backing on the 3M tape alignment strips. Set the Tailgate Cap on lightly and check alignment and fit.


5. Make sure the fit is correct for your truck. If you have any concerns, please contact the TRUCKED UP™ Customer Experience Team!


6. Take the Tailgate Cap back off your truck and remove the backing from the 3M alignment strips.


7. Hold the Tailgate Cap back over your truck's tailgate surface and settle it down in the same location and alignment you used for your test fit.


8. Press your new Tailgate Cap down firmly along its full length.


9. Use a power drill to install each of the included self-tapping stainless steel screws to affix your Tailgate Cap permanently to your truck.
